Overview

The Dashboard is your home screen in EnviroAutomate. It provides an at-a-glance summary of work in progress across your tenant — upcoming and overdue work, the highest-priority action items, the current state of all active client reports, and a six-month view of fieldwork and reporting throughput.

To open the Dashboard, click Dashboards in the WORKFLOW section of the left sidebar. The page refreshes whenever you navigate to it.

Table of Contents

  1. Summary Cards

  2. High Priority Action Items

  3. Client Reports by Status

  4. Monthly Statistics

  5. Tips for Effective Use

Summary Cards

The four cards along the top show key counts. Each card is clickable and takes you straight to the relevant filtered list.

  • Upcoming Fieldwork Tasks — Fieldwork tasks scheduled to start within the next 14 days. Click to open the Fieldwork Tasks list.

  • Overdue Fieldwork Tasks — Fieldwork tasks past their due date. Click to open the Fieldwork Tasks list.

  • Client Reports Waiting for Data — Client reports that are still awaiting fieldwork or laboratory data before drafting can begin. Click to open the Client Reports list.

  • Overdue Client Reports — Client reports past their due date. Click to open the Client Reports list.

High Priority Action Items

This panel lists up to 10 of the most urgent action items across your tenant. Items shown are those with Critical or High priority.

Each row shows:

  • The action item name, with the associated Client and Site shown in brackets when available

  • Current status (Open, In Progress, Closed, etc.)

  • The user the item is assigned to

  • A due-date badge — days overdue (red) when the due date has passed, Due today (yellow) on the day it's due, X days left (yellow if 1–3 days remain, blue if more), or No due date (grey) when none is set

Filter by assigned user. Use the Filter by Assigned To dropdown above the list to limit it to action items assigned to a specific user. Choose All Users to see items across the whole tenant.

Open an action item. Click any row to open the action item edit page. Use the View All Action Items button at the bottom to see the complete list (with the same user filter applied).

Client Reports by Status

This panel shows the distribution of all active client reports across the seven workflow statuses. The stacked bar visualises the proportion in each status, and the table below shows the exact count and percentage for each.

Statuses:

  • Awaiting Data — fieldwork or lab data is still outstanding

  • Ready to Draft — all data is in; report is ready for the writer to start

  • Draft(s) Created — one or more draft documents have been generated

  • Awaiting Review — drafts are checked in for reviewer approval

  • Changes Requested — the reviewer has sent comments back to the writer

  • Approved — final documents have been approved and the report is closed

  • Rejected — the report has been rejected

Monthly Statistics

The chart shows the past six months of throughput:

  • Columns — number of Fieldwork Tasks completed each month

  • Line — number of Client Reports finalised each month

This is useful for tracking team velocity and spotting trends across reporting periods.

Tips for Effective Use

  • Open the Dashboard at the start of each day to scan upcoming and overdue work

  • Use the summary cards as a quick navigation shortcut to filtered lists

  • Filter the High Priority Action Items panel to your own user for a focused view of what's on your plate

  • Watch the Client Reports by Status panel to spot bottlenecks (e.g., many reports stuck in Awaiting Review may signal a reviewer queue issue)
