How to view site-specific investigation and screening levels based on selected receptors and analytes

Objective

This article covers the Investigation Levels tab on the Edit Site page in EnviroAutomate. This tab displays the investigation and screening level values that apply to the site, based on the receptors selected on the Receptors tab and the analytes configured in the system.

Prerequisites

  • Receptors must be assigned to the site (via the Receptors tab)

  • Investigation levels must be configured in the system (under Scientific Settings)

What This Tab Shows

The Investigation Levels tab displays read-only tables showing the applicable screening values for this site. The tables are organised by sampling matrix and concentration type, with:

  • Rows - One row per receptor that has been assigned to the site (colour-coded to match the Receptors tab)

  • Columns - One column per COPC analyte, grouped by concentration type

  • Cell values - The investigation level value for each receptor/analyte combination

Key Features

  • Expand/Collapse All - Use the button to expand or collapse all matrix sections at once (the tab starts with everything expanded)

  • Colour-coded rows - Each receptor row uses the colour set on its definition, matching the Receptors tab

  • Sticky row headers - Receptor names stay visible as you scroll horizontally through wide tables

  • Rotated column headers - Analyte names are rotated vertically to fit more columns on screen

  • Tooltips - Hover over a value to see additional context such as the source guideline

  • "NL" (Not Limiting) values indicate that a particular receptor/analyte combination does not have a limiting value

  • Investigation level values are rendered as links - clicking a value opens the source Investigation Level configuration

Cautionary Notes

  • This tab is read-only - you cannot edit investigation level values directly from here

  • To change which receptors appear, go to the Receptors tab and update the selections

  • To change which analytes appear, go to the COPC tab and update the selections

  • To change investigation level values, use the Investigation Levels page under Scientific Settings

  • Missing values (blank cells) indicate that no investigation level has been configured for that receptor/analyte combination

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use horizontal scrolling to navigate wide tables with many analyte columns

  • Review this tab after updating receptor selections to confirm the correct investigation levels are displayed
