Objective
View the list of laboratories configured in EnviroAutomate and see their details. Laboratories are the analytical testing facilities that process environmental samples collected during fieldwork. They are shared across all organisations and managed centrally, so they appear as read-only.
Prerequisites
You must be logged in as a Tenant Admin.
Navigate to Scientific Settings > Laboratories in the sidebar.
The Laboratories List
The Laboratories page displays a table of all available laboratories with the following columns:
Name — the full name of the laboratory (e.g., "Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd").
Code — a short identifier for the laboratory (e.g., "ALS"). This code appears as a badge when the laboratory is selected during lab data uploads on fieldwork tasks.
Accreditation Number — the laboratory's accreditation number (e.g., a NATA number).
Contact Name — the primary contact person at the laboratory.
Phone — the laboratory's phone number.
Email — the laboratory's email address.
Created By / Created — who added the laboratory and when.
Updated By / Updated — who last modified the laboratory and when.
You can search and filter the list using the controls at the top of the page.
Viewing Laboratory Details
Click on any laboratory row to open its detail page. All fields are displayed as read-only. The detail page shows:
Laboratory Information
Name — the full laboratory name.
Code — the short identifier code (maximum 50 characters).
Accreditation Number — the laboratory's accreditation reference.
Aliases (Office-Specific Names) — alternative names that the laboratory uses in its CSV export files. These are used to automatically match laboratory data files during import processing.
Ignored Analyte Names — analyte names from this laboratory's files that are silently skipped during data processing. These are not auto-created as unmatched analytes and are not reported as errors.
Supported File Formats — the file formats this laboratory can provide for import processing (e.g., ESDAT, ENV).
Contact Information
Contact Name — the primary contact person.
Phone — the laboratory's phone number.
Email — the laboratory's email address.
Website — the laboratory's website URL.
Address Details
Country — the country where the laboratory is located.
Address Line 1 and 2 — the street address.
City — the city or town.
State/Province — the state or province.
Postal Code — the postal code.
Satellite Map — a Google Maps satellite view showing the laboratory's location with a pin marker.
Additional Information
Description — a description of the laboratory.
Notes — any additional notes.
Audit Log
Click the Audit Log button in the top-right corner of the detail page to view the change history for the laboratory.
Important Notes
Laboratories are shared across all organisations and are read-only for all users. You cannot create, edit, or delete laboratories.
If you need a new laboratory added or an existing one updated, contact support.
The laboratory Code and Aliases are important for automated lab data processing.
